VOLLEYBALL
MILTON

One of the fastest-growing towns in the country, and nowhere near enough court time to match. Our Mississauga gyms are about half an hour down the 401 — drop-ins, leagues and tournaments.

Milton has outgrown its gyms

Milton has been one of the fastest-growing communities in Canada for the better part of two decades, and recreational infrastructure has not kept pace. Adult volleyball is the clearest example: the town has plenty of players and very few bookable weeknight courts, so most competitive adult ball ends up in Mississauga, Oakville or Brampton.

Olympus runs out of three Mississauga venues, about half an hour from Milton down the 401 or the 407. Monday and Wednesday nights are the easiest for Milton players to reach, and because drop-ins are booked one night at a time, a longer drive does not lock you into a whole season.

What we want to build in Milton

A town growing this fast should not have to export its volleyball. The bottleneck is court time — school gyms are heavily booked and the town facilities run their own programming, which leaves independent clubs competing for scraps.

Our goal is a standing Milton night: one weekday evening of open co-ed play, priced the same as everything else we run, with a competitive division added as soon as the recreational one fills. We would rather build that properly than put a Milton address on a page and hope nobody checks.

Milton teams are welcome at every tournament in the meantime, and our leagues accept rosters from across the GTA and Halton.

Getting there from Milton

The 401 east to Winston Churchill or Erin Mills is the usual route, roughly thirty minutes outside rush hour; the 407 is faster and tolled. All three venues have free parking, and our later weeknight start times leave room for the drive.

Milton volleyball questions

Is there adult volleyball in Milton, Ontario?

Court time for adult volleyball in Milton is limited. Olympus Volleyball serves Milton players from three Mississauga venues about thirty minutes away, with co-ed drop-ins from $10 and no season-long commitment.

How far is Olympus Volleyball from Milton?

About thirty minutes via the 401, or a little less on the 407. Parking is free at all three of our Mississauga venues.

Can I play a single session instead of a whole season?

Yes. Every drop-in is booked one night at a time at $10 to $15, so you can play once, skip a week, or come every night without registering for a season.

Will Olympus Volleyball run sessions in Milton?

We want to. The plan is one standing weekday evening of open co-ed play in Milton, with a competitive division added once it fills. It depends on securing regular court time, which is the hard part in a town growing this quickly.
